Constant illness and bugs

I have a half bottle of corid left. I did not know that before but I will keep that in mind, is it like a really really bad cold?

Coccidiosis is a parasite that lives in the digestive tract. So I guess it's more like a stomach bug that causes lethargy and affects digestion.

Yeah. If you are really worried about safety, clean the coop out really well, clean the water every day or two, and get them in a run. The first two are mandatory when caring for chickens, but the last one is just a suggestion.

The reason I don’t have a run is because here we have grizzlies and black bears, foxes and lynxes and if they’re passing through our neighborhood (rarely ever happens but it has twice this year) they could break into the run and take out all of my flock rather then losing a couple throughout the year- being free range has saved them a couple times from run away dogs and the lynx. So that’s my reasoning behind not having a run… that and healthier eggs

The coop is due for a clean, that will be happening very soon
