Constant, loud parties in the brooder

Haven't posted in awhile cause Sun. was quiet and lulled me into a false sense of security. Thought the uprising had passed. Little did I know. Yesterday waters feeders all tipped over. Over the course of the day had to upright and fill one 4 times.

Then this morning the roo and hens must have got in on it. Water and feed tipped over and these strange incense wrappers??? And they look so innocent.

To add on to my anxiety. The army bombing range next door has been having practice for the last two nights. I'm a nervious wreak.

the milling around looking so innocent is what worries me.... And now no word from deqard or easttx. in a few days what do you think that means...

Maybe they think i'ts over or the little fuzzy butts gottem.

I'm thinking the latter ibeier, they are very sly, acting like their just eating off the ground, standing around like nothing is going on. I think they must have dropped their guard and they got'em. I sure will miss them too. We all know how it goes you slip up and thats it.

miss lydia - I think someone lost their contac lenses and the others are trying to find it. Must you be so paranoid?

Have you ever noticed when you go out to give treats they run at you like a pack of raptors from Jurasic Park.

They would probably eat me if given the chance.

Well, THEY'RE BACK...
Had to bring the rowdies back in the house-we're supposed to be 23 degrees tonight with a 22 mph wind out of the north-my brooder just can't keep up with that kind of cold, so...they're back in the house and my DH is working graveyards. I'm all by myself with...THEM!

easttx so happy to hear from you, we thought they had eaten you for sure... and yes they do look like a bunch of hungry raptors, remember the fellow in the outhouse? oh my gosh! and to think our chickens use to look like them....makes me shutter

And drumstickdiva, they already tried that out once already.

I couldn't get out the back door for days, one even came in through the dog door. But we beat it back with a wet noodle and it retreated.

eastxchick Do you have any relatives/friends that could stay with you? I don't want to add to your worries but, it may NOT be a wise to be alone tonight.

Maybe you could stay awake all night, have backup candles or batteries in case the power might go out. Do you have any weapons at hom? Do you have the police/animal control on speed dial.

They'll have you up at 3am. I have a loaded 22 pistol in my headboard.
