Constant, loud parties in the brooder

Last I heard, there was a search and rescue team out trying to find Petej. The dogs had his scent for a while but then lost it somewhere around the chicken waterers (which were tipped over for reasons yet unknown). Oddly enough, the chicks are also missing. There were signs of a struggle but thats all anyone knows.

Be careful easttx--wouldnt want that to happen to you. Might want to consider hotwire around your bed at night. Just sayin...

Had to move the hooligans to a larger brooder box yesterday with a larger feeder.
I am truly amazed at how fast this group is growing and how much they're eating.
DH asked me again last night, "What is wrong with them? Why are they SO LOUD? Go check on them and see if they're hot or cold".
Last night he told them to BE QUIET-it did a lot of good.

I had a 'close encounter' with the The Ninja Chicken last nite! I have a bruise and raised bump on the front of my shin to prove it. Dang those FBCM roosters!!! Hurts like heck!

Who knew shin-guards from my son's baseball catching gear would be required attire when I hatched those cute little fuzzy butts? Oh, where did I go wrong????

I saw your hooligans on your BYC page Atlchick, they look like a bunch of trouble makers.... You have some very pretty birds and love your surprise flight pen, but I have a feeling that all these hooligans being hatched now from Cal. to N.C. are some how going to take over the world....it's an under ground movement. Miss Lydia, I wish I had your observant eye prior to entering the pen and being ninja-kicked by two of the hooligans. My grandmother would have called it "flogging" and she would have wrung their pretty little necks.

If you notice in one of the pictures on "My Page", I have hog wire, reinforced by chicken wire, reinforced by deer netting, reinforced by two strands of electric wire. For a while there I thought I was protecting the birds....I see now I am doing my civic duty by protecting whomever is OUTSIDE the fence.

What I am supposed to do with the 18 pre-teen terrorists who are being subliminally programmed in their Training Camp as we speak; and then there's the 28 more about to hatch next week

Okay I'm thinking maybe we need to look at things from greyeyes point of view... Did you say who you were before entering the compound? Did you hear one call out Halt who goes there? We might just be blind to whats really happening. I say lets give them the benefit of the doubt. Try to make friends and see what happens, only problem we haven't heard from easttx today and I'm beginning to think something is amiss there. You better make friends Atl your going to be over run pretty soon, and nothing will contain them. And how can you live in Atlanta and have Peacocks?
