I didn't mean I'd actually use a Q tip, I mean as a straight object rather than a tweezer to pinch and pull something out.

I was thinking that with something really smooth and small that you could verify that the vent is not truly blocked. Sometimes they can have defects and/or the vent closes up. Seen this on a couple of mine.

Would the tube part of a q-tip work or the tube from a any type of squirt or spray bottle (cleaned of course)? Just trying to throw plastic tube ideas out there.

He/she has definitely pooped before. White pastey watery stuff is coming out of the vent when he/she pushes. By truly blocked do you mean closed off near the hole?

Well I just tried and I was able to get a bit out. That is some STINKY poo. I'm going to give it a break and try again in 15 minutes or so. I feel like I'm torturing the poor thing. It looks like regular poo, actually, so I'm not sure what's up.
