I got ya beat. I had one pullet lay an egg in a nest box stored in the attic of the coop........no shavings or anything in it, just up there in storage.

Had two of my ladies lay their eggs in their old coop I had opened up to start rebuilding into a rabbit hutch. Gus's they remembered when it was their home..... They are silly! My chocolate Orpington has finally gone broody but she is laying on my Amerecauna s eggs!

I have a 6 nest roll out nest box that is in a shed because it is too big for my coop. The Trader Joes hens got in when the door blew off and started laying eggs in it. They lay a lot of eggs! by the time I found it, there were 40 or so eggs in there!

Chickens are very silly and love hiding their eggs
