This is my 6 month old Bantam size Cochin Frizzle, Diamond. Love him! The 1st picture shows him with his lovely girl, Copper.

Your photo quality is amazing?!?!
How many MP's does your camera have? You edit?

Name of Bird: Licorice
Age: 10 years old
Breed: Cochin
Size: Bantam

That's right, 10 years old!

My husband's little man! As a young bird, Licorice lorded it over a flock of standard size hens. Now in his retirement years, he has his own little coop with a lady more his size to share it with. He still thinks he is big stuff, though - he'll peck anything that offends his dignity, from our cats to our mastiff!

Thank you.

He might have Buckeye mixed in, as Easter Eggers are mixed breed. I question why you are so certain he is not an Easter Egger though? He was bought from a reputable Hatchery as an Easter Egger. He also has a pea comb, common for blue laying breeds (though, yes, Buckeyes have them too). He has green legs, common of slate leg/yellow leg mixes. As a side-note, not as well depicted in the photo his underside is mostly a medium grey/blue, and his top feathers are a coppery orange accent to the deep reds.

I said it because I didn't see a pea comb, muffs around face, the right looking tail feathers, and body style, but it might be you never know with hatcheries

There's no standard for EEs, and because they are mixed breeds they can look like anything. They don't have to have muffs, or a specific body style, or really anything at all. They usually have pea combs just because it's dominant but they don't have to. I have barred EEs, black EEs, tan EEs, etc etc. There are just about any color you can think of in EE's.

I know I only have one entry, but I had to post pics of the other two boys in our yard.

Cat, a mixed (Golden Seabright, Silkie, and ?) bantam about 3 years old. Named Cat because he was the first chick to be seen out of a surprise hatching from a very sneaky broody banty hen, thus...the Cat Who's Out Of The Bag!

and Gracie, my one-year-old Toulouse who turned out to be a gander. He is very protective of his mate. He also guards the 3 ducklings when they are in their outdoor pen - he thinks they are goslings. :)
