I saw this thread a few days ago, knowing that I would have ideas. Lots of them, but they escape me until just the right moment.
So, I came on tonight, and see that there is a "short story" idea, which is close to my idea. Mine is a bit more specific.
1) I would like to see some touching, warm-hearted stories as one contest.
2) As a separate contest, I would like to see the "funniest", and "most comedic stories".
3) Another: Specific, one or two liners on the silly things people say about farm fresh eggs.
4) The "dumbest coop design" with pictures AND why it's a dumb design. This could be both comedic and educational. For example, a friend bought me two "breeding coops" as a gift. The "builder" had never owned nor cared for a chicken in his life. It didn't occur to him to create a place (door) to allow food and water to go in, let alone to easily check eggs and clean the coop.
5) The "sweetest picture" contest with a) your birds and your children OR b) your birds and your other pets.
6) "Funniest thread" contest.
7) (Almost forgot this one) " Dumbest bird move". What is the dumbest thing your bird has done? (Of course, comedy would be necessary.)
I will volunteer to assist/manage ONE contest.
(BTW, I am a writer, for whatever that matters. I'm also opinionated, which is probably more important here for this purpose.
