Might I suggest the option of "gag gifts" and fun/silly awards for that *one event* here or there in the year?

Think of them as the icing flower on the cake... Doesn't *need to be used often but, it's sharing laughter and joy from time to time just might work. IMHO the key is still, "less is more" here too.

I followed a link earlier where you could buy friggin T-rex arms to put on your chickens. OMG, that IS funny. They also had human arms and stuff too. yes I see potential in these as gag gifts.

Not all gifts have to be upgraded memberships or intrinsic value items. I have seen some forums where they give out titles or roles as awards, people pay good money actually for that silly stuff online as well... just some more ideas.
