I used to work at a wildlife rehab facility. I bet it'd take the dead ones to feed to their birds of prey. They always had hawks, owls, magpies and crows. A place like that would probably be forever grateful.

Could also bury them in a compost heap, or just toss 'em into the woods somewhere, albeit where nobody would find them and mistake it for some kind of budding serial killer thing.

It was a past tense issue. Another of same species could likely treated the same outside my lab as it hunts a lot very close to where I go outside a lot.

If you spend this time and money to get rodent proof feeders, you solve this problem "and others" for good.

Probably so people watching the video wouldn't get upset about the sparrows being killed. Invasive pests or not, they're cute.
Or maybe he didn't want to deal with killing them at the moment and had just wanted to demonstrate.

Yep when I catch them I shoot them with a pellet gun. The only way to kill the target species.

Good plan, and should be a quick, humane death. Even if they are invasive, they should be killed humanely, it's not their fault.
