Yeah IKR!?!?! Then again the pet stores do often overprice stuff so I wonder if from a reputable breeder they’d be less? Maybe not though ?

I think it's better they're overpriced because it deters people from just buying one on a whim. Unlike the poor budgies who you can get for 10-20 bucks without thinking it through.

Yeah that makes sense. But 10!?!?! Where!?!? Ours were like $25 min, then $40, now they’re $50

Before Covid my local PetSmart sold them for $10-15 dollars for "regular ones" and $15-20 for the "fancy" ones. Once Covid hit the price went up to around $20-30... but that's still really cheap.

Oh wow I wish ours were that cheap hahah I think the lowest ours have ever been was like $20 but that was a long time ago. They were $25 for a long time but with COVID $40-$50 now. It’s crazy.

I've seen conures go for $1300 at pet stores here. They aren't much cheaper from breeders or as rehomes.

You forgot Cherry head had one that was 12 but after 12 years it finally laid an egg then died she could talk like a male
