Converting pole barn into stalls

I'm acquiring a property that has been neglected for a while. It has this massive pole barn that I took one look at and decided I want to turn it into an animal barn. Problem is.. I have no idea where to start! I know I need to make sure the structure is strong and patch up the roof.

My plan is goats and a donkey. However, I don't see any harm is building horse stalls too because I could possibly make a little money renting out space for people to store their horses.

I'm open to any ideas/thoughts. I have no experience with farm animals (other than chickens) and would love to hear advice on what would make it comfortable for the animals but also convenient for me. I'm in no rush so have plenty of time to plan it out.

Ya we added stalls with round pen panels.

i did the same with panels for pens, each stall is10X8', i ended up with 8 stalls in a 30'X40' pole barn, with the one on the end with the door turned into a tack/feed room (enclosed with wood). i used 4' gates on each one. i was trying to find the photos but of course, since i'm looking, now cannot find. If i do, i will post later.

Thank you this is very helpful! Would love to see photos. So it's mostly open-air or did you add a solid wall?

The feed/tack room is enclosed with particle board and has a door on each end. The stalls are open air. i will keep trying to find the pics...

Oh ok so your pole barn already had outter walls. Mine is wide open. It's literally just poles and a roof.
