Converting resin shed to coop. How to mod it?

FYI, my 1st Fast coop is in the first pics on My Coop. It is the white thing on the ground.
I say Fast because the hens (older) needed a place fast and I had wood hanging around. Not too bad for a fast set up until I could do a shed.

Yes, they are in a prefab at the moment.
I don't know why I didnt think of this before, I can create shade for the shed (going off our convo from your thread)!
I can get a kennel with a cover over it. Plus add some trellises with shady vines and such. Those would take a bit to grow, but the kennel would be an easy purchase!
I also found that you can place "shade sails" to creat shade. I think with proper ventilation and the faux shade, I should be good.
Thoughts?

Ok, so the kennel probably wont work for this size of shed - at least not to go over it due to size. However, the shade sails should. I'm still working on the idea. Lol

I am going to attach a pic from google.
The blue is just blocking my address.
There are two buildings out back. The smaller one is a storage shed - I have tried to claim it, but the hubs says we need it for storage.
The red - current coop. Black outline is the run.
Middle of farm fields-literally. Our trees go a field back (like a 1/4 mile from my house).

The only real trees that we currently have is the pine out front. I could grow some really big bushes, but they won't be ready by the summer. The shade sail I found is 12x12. If the shed is 7x7, wouldnt that help somewhat? The chickens will be roosting at night and in there to lay eggs, otherwise, they will be outdoors in the summer. I will provide them with other shaded alternatives throughout the run. I am also considering a fan to help with air flow.

Take out the front windows and put screen on so you have ventilation. That's plenty of ventilation. Cut a 9x12 chicken door in the back so the hens can get to the "run" and add nesting boxes and roosts. We had no problems with excess heat (and it gets 110 here in the summer), but it is in the shade of an oak tree. You can put the roosts between nesting boxes if you put them across from one another. I hope you know what I'm talking about! This shed looks perfect for your needs! Don't let others discourage you. Good Luck

We have a 15x30 run outside the coop and 1/2 is covered against rain and sun. Here's a couple of photos you may find interesting. Husband is a professional cabinet maker so everything is always special extra and perfect that he makes, like the nesting boxes. I'm adding an indoor roost that my work for you too. I'm excited for you!

We moved the resin shed and built a real stick built shed with a steel door and deadbolt! Here's a few photos for you. Our run is 15x30 and one half of it is covered for protection from rain in winter and sun in summer. Check out these photos. Roosts for baby chicks need only be a 2x2 between stacked up wood (we had 4x4's!) and permanent roosts can be made later. I'm including a "free standing" roost that leans against a wall for you. Have fun, I'm exited for you! (I hope all this is not too much!)

We just use sturdy dark tarps. I have one on the top 1/2 of the run and have to put one the outside of the cage (like a wall as well). If you can plant and grow something start it now. Time will pass anyway so you should get it going! I know you can figure it out. A fan will help as well.

Thanks! I will have to go buy things at the garden center - they will have some pretty good sized trees by the time I am able to plant.
I am not allowed to grow oaks and such due to the way our septic and geothermal system is set up.
But, I could get some nice lilacs and similar ornamentals that will grow great!
