Is the degree symbol considered in the extra cost? I have been removing it.. should I put it back?

What do we do if a recipe seems to be missing something? I sent you a pm, but I wanted to post here too. I found some that seem to be missing ingredients, like cookies that have no flour, a recipe that calls for pepper in the instructions, but not in the ingredients??
