Has anyone ever lost chickens to the heat?

I have not and hopefully will not ever...but I have read a lot..it happens..often.

Yeah, I lost mine last summer. She went in to lay an egg and it got so hot she died from heat exhaustion.

I'm in Fl & it's already into the 90's. I have an old box fan & I turn it on, about 5' from the coop, & it provides air movement for them.
