Coolest button quail terrarium decor!

Okay so I just did some googling and I saw pictures of people scooping up teeny tiny baby quail by the handful and now my heart is exploding because OMG I need some adorable little quail now!!!

My gut feeling is that you should play up their miniature aspect and make a teeny tiny world for them. I'm picturing two variations specifically, but you could go in any direction based onn your interests. My first two thoughts were either a tiny city/village complete with either pretty houses, paved or brick streets, little courtyards with fountains in them, streetlights, haha...the whole works. A tiny police station or school or miniature buildings that are significant to you....or a real city you love like a mini Paris with a little Eiffel Tower even, haha...or a farm with different fields (you could even rotate mini crops you plant for them!) and have little scarecrows, tiny tractors, hay bales or a corn maze...and it would be so fun to decorate for the holidays!!!!

Or, my other thought was something more fantasy based, like a little shire with fairy garden elements...you can buy so many cute decorations for fairy gardens now, and make little hills for them with dirt paths to meander on for interest, tiny park benches to hop up onto, little hobbit houses or cottages for them to shelter inside of, and if course, some fairies peeling out here and there, a few suspended mid air even!

Okay, I seriously have an addiction here. I think I need to start a career in coop design! Haha!

Fun! I know absolutely nothing about quail! Do you have any pictures of your current setup to work forward from? I always love a good design challenge! :ya
I do!

so... I have to be carefull… because buttonquail LOVE destroying things, and pooping on them...so I have to have a cool setup that I can still clean once a month, also I 55 gal is not quite that big. this is a "recent" picture, but since I have replaced those big old feeder/waterer 's with parakeet ones. also they have killed most of the plants.

I just set up a tank for my button quail. I decided to go natural. They live in grasslands, so I put down dirt and dug up grasses from my yard and 'planted' them in the dirt. I put in some pots with dried grass, some rocks and a log to climb on. I also read you can grow finch seeds into a grass, so I have that started outside the cage. They seem happy. They are rolling around in the dirt and hanging out in the pots. I can replace the plants whenever they die or get eaten. And it's free to replace. Plus poop just gets mixed into the dirt and acts as fertilizer. I want to put in more grass and probably put a background on it. Mine live outside on my covered porch.
