Ahhh! I forgot those were their names! Well in that case, how about a space theme? It could be so cool....you can buy an aquarium backdrop like this one :
And then use black sand or gravel or whatever material you use and add in a sprinkling of those glowy neon little aquarium rocks. You can buy plastic glow in the dark stars (of they wouldn't bother your quail at night?) and stick them inside and out of the terrarium for depth. Hang a little planet set from the top at different heights like this:
Whatever plants you use will cool and other worldly especially if they're sparse! Get some plastic or metal toys of spacecraft or astronauts or aliens, and place them in the tank...super easy to clean and you only need one or two because space is pretty empty! Oh, and I saw the cutest idea on Pinterest!!
You just hang the little toy cow from a piece of fishing line inside a clear class and cover with a plastic bowl painted gold! Hilarious!!
Or, you could go with a more serene, fantasy type space theme, with swirled pretty coloured sands, have sparse desert type plants, and a very minimal decor....
