Bay Area here. We’ve been lucky to only have one day over 100F, but the sustained 90+ has kept our quail and chickens panting. I have one of those patio misters that hooks up to the garden hose — it doesn’t take much water at all. We aimed that at the quail pen and have had happy birdies since. You might say they’re singin’ in the rain.

Yes I have heard the misters work great. We're putting in a new run right now I'm going to get one myself.

Here in auburn the sun was darkened by the smoke when it rose felt like an eclipse.
