Coon Attack...What is the best food to put in a trap...besides chicken

I have a few friends that are always hungry........

I wish relocation was a possibility but around here their are lots of people with backyard farm animals and now that it has had a taste of pet chickens I don't think it will forget. If it had just been hanging around I would make plans to relocate it to a forest somewhere.

Ater loosing some chickens, my brother used chocolate flavored X-Lax. no more coons.

Oh yes they love to eat chicks and their eggs.

This my sound stupid but I use peanut butter. My brother-in- law told me that that's all he ever uses. I get coons and opossums.

Peanut butter sandwichs with jelly on them. Seriously, I have trapped 18 in three days for a friend in Tennesse. It works great.

I second the suggestion of tuna. Coons love fishy stuff, and tuna gives off quite an odor.

a bowl of water next to the food is good too,,, they always try to wash their food before they eat it if they can.,, napkins and utensils would attract too lol

take my word for this my husband is a coonhunter and we catch alot of raccoons....the best is a honeybun with peanut butter on it....
