Oh yeah for sure! Luckily we don’t have a ton of big predators around here but we do have some.I have 2 cameras...and yes I do spy on them sometimes...my main purpose is to be notified whenever there is a predator. We live out in a wooded area in the mountains and we get all the usual predators, Coyote, Fox, Hawk, Bobcat, Racoon, Possum and we have a less usual predator...Black Bear. And although take the feeder out at night there's always feed that has made it's way to the ground. We do have the run and coop surrounded with Electric Wire 3-4 rows from top to bottom. That being said if there is a predator snooping around my chickents I want to know about it!
So sweetMy mama hen still has her babies on the floor for a snuggle too. I want to know when they will roost! Maybe in a couple more weeks?
Does anyone else have a coop cam?
I just love watching my girls even if I can’t be out there with them![]()
We have 2 in our bigger coop and 1 in the other. We also have cameras that watch over the entire enclosure so we can see just about everything. At night we can see if the chickens have started roosting and then close the coop doors by remote control. We have no problems with any animals bothering the girls and if we did we could easily identify them. We use Ring cameras and the ones that are fully powered are also fully remote controlled. Since they work on the internet, if I go traveling I can see what is going on at any time.Does anyone else have a coop cam?
