Today marks 18 weeks on the pullets.
32 weeks on Easter Eggers and
24 weeks on Anconas

Well the chooks are tucked away for the night. Gonna check on my chicks and tuck them in.

It's 5 am. I just checked on my flock to see how they roost, I really need cameras in there to check them at night. They have 5 long roosting bars but are using all but one on the left front side. The youngsters are sure to stay by my rooster Hades all night, which is smart. I think they feel protected that way. When I get silkies I'll have to put lower nesting bars down. And Zeus and Hades are already crowing this am.

Well it finally quit raining, I may get some chicken time and photos after all. Zeus crows all day under the covered run so I listen to him and the girls with their clucking egg song. Its music to my ears.

They are so pretty its just a matter of time before I get all white chickens. Will be Leghorns for sure!
