coop finished......hope the future chickens like it pics

Next step is the run, I plan on using an old dog pen. It is 7ft high. It will be about 18 ft in length and about 8 ft wide. I should finish that next week. Should I add a ventilation door on the back of my coop? I plan on leaving the big front door open most of the summer.

Like the 10 feet of overhang on all sides
You got the shade problem and vertical wind driven rain problem covered with that roof.

I think that the more ventilation you can have the better in warm weather. You can always close it up a bit when it gets cold.

Your roosts look too small. Most on this site seem to believe in a flat 2x4. That's what I use. I just rounded the corners a little
