Nope, not ready for snow or Christmas. Snow I could handle...put a brace in the run to hold up the pvc hoops and I'm good! Now, Christmas is another matter...no presents bought yet, haven't even started, and have very few ideas!
I have tentative plans to either A). shop on Black Friday or B). go trail riding with my friends. I would rather ride with my friends, but the weather may not cooperate. If it doesn't then I will venture to do some shopping.
Hello Wildorchid, That is a lot of early snow isnt it? I used to live in Syracuse (Lyncourt) but do not miss those long cold winters. The chicken house looks lonely and frigate with all the snow, how are they taking it??
And we were worried about our girls getting cold down here in NC!!! Snow does add a layer of insulation too, as I found out from my days snow holing in Norway in winter, but we were concerned that our Barred Rocks will get cold!!! I am adding some straw bales around the outside of the coop(north facing side) to take away the chill when it blows.....
But how many of you who have posted have unheated coops? Would be interesting to know..
