I will say this, those are the right color for Marans eggs. I was going to try and start helping with Marans, but the only breeders I can find, in the US , that have eggs close to that color , want a heck of lot more than I can or am willing to pay. (I was just quoted 120.00 for 12 eggs).

Yea, it sounds as though some of those Marans breeders are a bit out of control with their prices, once enough people have birds to breed with that'll calm down.

And funny enough..the UK breeders are not charging me any more than what you would pay for RIR eggs...

But it is still a work in progress. Thanks for everyones inputs.

Hey, I remember seeing you post on MCC. I was one of the ones on the group discussing bringing some in from overseas and had suggested the military connection thing. Glad to see someone knows what they're doing and is taking action. Thank you! Of course, I'd like to be on your list too. I'm sure everyone does. I hope everything goes well, and your hatch rate is great!
