So sorry Cyn. I know that's frustrating. My sons little BR was SUPPOSED to be a sexed pullet as well. That is not so! You've seen the pics yourself.

We're going to keep him in hopes that he will be as sweet as your Zaners!

Oh dear... I hate when that happens!

I had that happen with the Light Brahma chicks I picked up a couple of months ago. He said he saved me 6 pullets (4 actually, by the time I got there) and since there were only 4, on a whim I picked out a younger chick that was in the "roo" bin. Turns out the roo is a pullet, and one of my pullets is a roo, so it all worked out and I have a nice little family! LOL!

I'd love to be a GLW... I think they're beautiful birds! I'm sorry, though - I know you like the silvers!

Oh great! I ordered a SLW pullet from Ideal ... she (SHE) is four weeks old but now I'm going to be watching every day to make sure that SHE doesn't get that reddish comb/wattle too soon.

I also got a GLW in this batch ... SHE better be a SHE also.

Pacing... pacing ..... I don't need another Roo ... pacing ...

Cyn if it makes you feel any better the americauna that is a tad pinker in the comb I keep asking you about is still a little pinker then the rest but I still believe she is a she. Her comb is a bit pinker but she is all hen I am sure. Her comb is the same size as the others and her feathering is hen like so I am having faith. I am sending you lots of good thoughts and prayers that maybe she will be a she with a little pinker comb. I also have a buff hen with a little pinker comb then the others but I am sure she is a she , it is the same size as the others just a prettier color that is all. So lots of good thoughts and a few prayers for good measure.

I thought one of my young birds was a roo until I went to pick it up and it did the "egg squat"

So far out of 6 mutts, 5 are for sure pullets - the 6th one is still questionable.

Cyn, you could be like me. Got 12 straight run chicks at one feed store and ended up with 11 roos!

Got 8 sexed pullet chicks at the other feed store and got another roo.
