Corid dosing

I doubt that the first huge dose of Corid would have harmed her, but agree that there might be something else wrong besides cocci. It will not harm her to give a 7 day treatment though, just in case. If a vet is possible, just to take some fresh droppings in for a fecal float to look for worms or cocci, that would help.

If she wont drink how do i get her to take the corid?

I am going to have to say that I highly doubt you are dealing with a Cocci problem at this age.

Is taking her to a vet an option?

Have you checked them over really good at night for mites?
Have they ever been wormed?

I know that Corid is not a medicine, but I have no idea if that much at one time would hurt or not. (I'd have to guess that it would not hurt )

I think your best bet is to tube feed her, not eating will kill her.
I am too scared of syringe feeding/watering because I'm afraid it I would "drown" the chicken by getting it in the wrong "pipe".

Sending hubby to get supplies now! Was told not to force feed if compacted crop. Crying and trying to stay calm! I realize we are all guessing and appreciate every bit of help! Should he get dewormer for feeding tube? Vitamins and parrot feed for tube? I'm scared but will do whatever i can to save my favorite lady!

You may be right! Recently with hot weather i turned some drip line watering hose on in their yard to keep them cool. Yard was wet and they were drinking from little puddles.

If she were mine I would tube fluids to her at 8-12 ml per pound, repeat in 60-90 minutes, then again in 2-4 hours. Never force feed a bird that has not been drinking. Hydration status must be corrected first.

I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble

I do have a question about one of your posts --- you mention she TRIED to lay an egg on Thursday. What exactly does this mean?
Did you feel for an egg in her vent, see an egg coming-then disappear, etc.?

She needs lots of fluids before food. Give fluids first. Giving food before fluids could kill her.
