I just wish someone would post some pics of some really good LF Cornish like they used to here. Cedarknob has some nice ones. But most I've seen since the good breeders have been run off aren't as good. Shame, that.

I shouldn't have said that. But I do miss some of the folks that used to post here long ago.I just wish someone would post some pics of some really good LF Cornish like they used to here. Possibly you should post some of yours then??.
I'll see if I can get you some pictures. Quality Cornish are rare in the U.S. too, especially large fowl, and it took me quite awhile to find some decent ones to get myself started. While there surely must be others with large fowl whites here in the midwest, I've yet to find any breeders of quality large Whites close so ended up traveling to Indianapolis to the one of the largest shows ever and so kinda 'imported' a white from Florida. I found a reputable breeder of DC as close as a three hour round trip, but finding her took some work.would love to see some more of yours some hens/pullets!wish i lived in the states you guys sure have a wider selection of genes there!! its very hard to find quality cornish in canada!![]()
The young DC hen on the right has one side of her chest gone; eaten alive by a badger that killed her pen mates, they are summer of 2011 gals. The white pullets behind them were hatched the last of May.
These are also 2012 pullets.
And some mixed in with some Easter Egg layers I keep for winter eggs as well as crossing for my Cornish Rocky project. The white with muffs is a Sliver Ameraucana X Red Sex-link cross that could pass for a superior White Ameraucana.

Nice Cornish pics, everyone! I think I should have some up by the end of the weekend. I have some bantam darks, rlw and blr I hatched last spring. I also have LF whites I bought last week.
A new question!!!
Who finds that Cornish bantams are particularly susceptible to Northern fowl mite? Maybe many of you don't even have this mite. It is NORTHERN after all...*snicker*
