They sound to me to be Cornish X which are meat birds. They grow fast and heavy. If this is what they are it is better to sell them or give them to someone who is looking for meat birds. I cannot say for sure just my opinionI know nothing about this breed and got 2 by mistake, was wanting white rocks and the woman put 2 of these in. They started out the same sz as my WR's but now they are so big and heavy I worry they will fall over dead real soon. They take a few steps and sit down for the longest time before getting back up. And the feathers arent growing as well as the other one either. When I pick her up as she loves for me to do, she is so HOT!! Is this all normal? I dont eat my chickens, just cant bring myslef to do it, are these 2 going to dye a miserable overweight death? Is there something I can do for them, or are they going to b ok?

Do it soon they can have heart attacks, break their legs and all kinds of painful problems. Their bones don't grow fast enough to keep up with the weight gain. Don't let them eat unlimited feed either. Sorry you ended up with birds not suited to you.I kinda thought was going to be the answer, I just dont know anyone that eats thier own birds. guess I can put an add up on GL or someplace. Thanks
Exciting news I found a breeder of pure breed standard white Cornish my babies arrive next week
No I cancelled the order when he let slip he had a current outbreak of cocci on his place. Not worth the risk. I was surprised he was still willing to send chicks out when he knew he had a contagious disease in his paddocks.Did you ever get your LF whites Lacy?
