Not very big breast but maybe he will just be slow to mature. Saipans get to like 11lbs dont they

They can get a little heavier.But I'm not going to use him. I have a couple of crosses with barred rocks that are triple his size.

Ive got an up and coming Dark std Roo ,hes hatchery bred so he may not be the upper crust but worth a go,plans are to get me some Fast growers and do some crossing .

Well the weather has been kind this week with warmish nights but the little IG Cornish chicks seem to be thriving.







They seem a nice shape for 5 weeks old and I will be keeping an eye on that large dark cockerel in the middle.
He is way bigger than the rest and could be a keeper.

The white chick is a Jubilee, the green legs turn yellow as they get older.

Interesting that the green legs will turn yellow. I had a very interesting unexpected chick from my Buckeye/Cornish cross, he was either recessive everything or a sport- he had bright green legs, weird colour and a very strange lean body type. I could explain the green legs but not the body type or colour. He was a jerk so he didn't get to stick around.....

Was telling the DW their is no telling what will pop out.I've. Got all types of body types,leg colors,and white earlobes from Brown egg layers
