The ones I got (hatchery stock) seem wilder than any of the others but once caught, don't mind handling nearly as much. Doesn't make sense to me but I'm certainly not complaining since they are so stout. They appear much smaller than my hatchery orps but easily outweigh them.

To date I've not located any LF Cornish breeders near here, and have never seen any truly high quality birds of any breeds at auctions or swaps; but then there is only one swap I've been to a few times and haven't hit an auction since the late 80s. In fact the only show where I saw LF Cornish was Iowa City.

I hope to have eggs to offer next year. It seems no breeders of quality Cornish ever offer eggs for sale, and it's actually pretty difficult to find a breeder willing to sell quality Cornish to anyone not of the "brotherhood".

I take it nobody told you about the double secret initiation ritual ? Of course not, the first rule of Cornish Club is ............

I had some great Dark Cornish and White Laced Red hatch out this year that I am going to try to breed together next year. Would absolutely love White Cornish.

I tried for years to get eggs or chicks from breeders at shows and have still yet to get one to sell me any. They will sell grown birds that are rejects though some times.
