Coronavirus and Chickens

I think responses will vary wildly by area.

I have not had any issue getting dog food, chicken feed, chicken supplies like permethrin (been dealing with mites). The store I went to this weekend was well stocked. Bedding, I still have a big ol pile of chips that'll last me another few years. I have oyster shell enough to last the rest of the year. I'm not stocking up on feed beyond what I can reasonably use, as feed has a limited shelf life.

Frankly I feel that being around animals and being outdoors helps to bolster your immune system so I'm perfectly happy to spend time with the chickens and dogs.

We have had a confirmed case of covid 19 in my county and my local feed store has shortened their hours. The plan is to stay open but that COULD change.

I got a little extra feed for my pets but need to get shavings. Tomorrow seems like a good day to do that.

Thanks for your feedback everyone! I'm glad that so far, no feed stores have shut down. I'm also glad that the chickens cannot get Coronavirus. I'm also glad that the animals are not giving Coronavirus to people. I'll have to let that person who informed me know that the animals are not giving people Coronavirus. Thanks for easing our worries!
