I don't even use mine for chickens. All set with that. It's for protection not chicken dispatching.

I did get a hatchet today. The husband bought it for me to try with my next butcher task in a few weeks. It's even orange camo.

Oh gosh. I didn’t realize they twitched for that long! I was thinking maybe like a few seconds or maybe a minute or two but not that long. That might be too much.

I thought about using a cone but it seems like it would be stressful being put upside down so idk. Fine for meat birds but I’m attached

Ummm rotisserie (I didn't name him my husband did) came out of the cone after two minutes of bleeding out and ran in the yard with no head that was the look I had.

It's better to put them upside down. They get woozy from it and don't feel a thing. We used it on HeiHei too.

I'm about to walk to my neighbors in just my t-shirt and knock on their truck door to tell them their high beams are shining in my bedroom window... The puppy woke me up out of a deep sleep and now I'm I don't want to take her out of her kennel because then she will think she can sleep in the bed every night.

good point!! I think he just thought so I wouldn’t have to do it and so it’d be less personal. But it’d be a pretty hard shot. Their heads are tiny haha

We do it with two people. My husband puts it in the cone and I reach up and get the head through. Ours have never flipped. Once they're upside down, it mellows them out for some reason. Maybe they head rush...
