We do it with two people. My husband puts it in the cone and I reach up and get the head through. Ours have never flipped. Once they're upside down, it mellows them out for some reason. Maybe they head rush...
Thanks! That’s good to know. I guess I thought going in he’d freak but maybe not if upside down like you said. I don’t know if we even have a cone though so might have to do the stump way

OMG that’s insane!!! haha did you put him back in!? 😂🤣

and he was a chicken that apparently loved for like over a year with no head. :th
No he ran halfway across the yard. My husband ran after him then held him by his feet until he bled out all the way.

I honestly thought he would come back to.life when I was butchering him 😂

Says the guy missed the jugular vein and left most of the brain stem intact.
Yeah, that’s what I was thinking of. Pretty important think to miss :ep :th

I’m not sure I would have kept him alive for 18 months though. I think I would have just tried again the right way and put him out of his misery. Although supposedly he still had a pretty good life but that doesn’t seem like much of a life to me.

How the heck did it eat 🤷🏼‍♀️ that's too creepy for me to have a headless chicken. Plus more burden honestly. Looking at it every day and I'm sure he had to feed it... No thanks
