This made me feel a lot better so thank you for that. :hugs

I think I am going to put him down tomorrow. My brother offered to bring his gun over and do it for me but I think I would rather do it myself. Not sure I would be able to though. You’re right though that he’s my responsibility and I definitely don’t want him to suffer or prolong his life just because I’m doubting what it is or anything but I’m so scared I’m wrong and he’s gonna recover and then I’ll have killed him for nothing.
If you're not confident then have someone else do it. You dont want to f it up itll be way worse on him and prolly traumatic to you

Keep saying I think and it's going to make you prolong your decision. You're psyching yourself out and you're going to prolong it because you're overthinking every avenue possible. It's all a normal response, but it's going to prolong a decision that will end suffering of an animal. I did 1 1/2 weeks with HeiHei and I should've ended his life at a week, but I kept saying he'd get better.

I'd have your brother do it after you talk to the lab because honestly I don't think you're able to.
Overthinking and gonna is just her style lol

Oh gosh. I didn’t realize they twitched for that long! I was thinking maybe like a few seconds or maybe a minute or two but not that long. That might be too much.

I thought about using a cone but it seems like it would be stressful being put upside down so idk. Fine for meat birds but I’m attached 😂🙈😭
I wouldn't call it twitching mine flop all over the yard if I didnt drop them in a drum

You’re right that effing it up was way more traumatic but actually, it ended up being my dad that effed it up so I immediately stepped in and ended it.

Birds that fly??
You mean there are birds who don't lumber around begging for treats and generally being pests that get under your feet when you are in the barn?

...so I'm guessing emus are safe, right?
Ha yeah those

I used to have emus they were really cool really curious too they would try to pick stuff out of my pockets
