Thanks! That's a great idea. I checked out the one about chickens from our local library once and thought it was really helpful. Kind of wish I owned it. I will look up some others. I didn't know it was a series!
They have all sorts of books on all sorts of topics!!

Here’s their website so you can see if there’s any books that interest you and then you could look at the library or Amazon for them. :)

If you click on menu it should list the different categories or you can just browse all books. They have a lot. You might find something on another topic you’re interested in. :)

Thanks! I've spent a little time on Backyard Herds, but I don't have an account there yet. Found them when I was searching for information about small cattle breeds (Dexters). They seem really helpful. I love the idea of dairy goats, but not sure if I could commit to milking twice/day with my work schedule. We are contemplating meat goats...would like to produce more of our own food. Possibly, knowing me, they would be primarily pets? Brush and weed control would be a definite bonus!!! :)
They definitely are! I joined when I was thinking about goats and they were very helpful. Of course, I never ended up getting them but still. You sound similar to me though! I didn’t think I would be interested in having to milk them all the time so decided I didn’t really want milk goats either. If you’re getting them for pets, I would recommend two wethers, or maybe more. :) Bucks are smelly and not necessary unless you want to breed (and even then you can use an outside buck). Plus wethers are usually cheaper. :) Or you could get a girl or two just in case you do decide to breed down the line. And Nigerian Dwarfs make great pets, they are a lot of fun and have great personalities, so they’re probably the best “pet” goats, and they will eat brush too I think, but you could also get Boer goats if you can, because they are brush eating machines from what I understand and, of course, they’re also meat goats. :) you could always do both too. Have a couple pet goats, like NDs, and a couple meat/brush goats.

This thing is insanely bright. You're not looking at it while it pulsates

Meanwhile WA was one of the first states to talk about lifting restrictions, but its going really slow. Residential construction is now allowed (but people were doing it anyway on the down low). Now they're looking at opening recreational boating/fishing next week.

Looks like CO and NV have joined with WA, OR and CA to jointly reopen the West coast together.
