I hope if I ever 'disappear' my kids come on here and let everyone know what happened.
I love spinach, but hard to grow and even if it does good shrinks to about nothing when you cook it. Chard is awesome, amd easy to grow! Sweet and yummy!, lot more filling cause get the stalks, yum yum yum. Kale is great, eat tons of it, collard greens also. Turnip greens...about like radish greens.. Why? I've tried them but like why? When we have so many yummy one's?
My favorite, beet greens, not as easy as chard because we only eat them while thinning out the rows, but![]()
Collards are HUGE greens, first time myself last yr growing them. Kale I love because it grows great here in our cold winters, even seems to grow in winter , snow knocks it down and then it springs back up when the snow melts all winter long, freezing doesn't hurt it. Have plenty for ourselves and the chickens.I got into collards last year, they're quite good! Kale is a staple in winter for me as it requires no special care. Also eat chard of course, spinach (when it grows... last 2 years we got 1 giant spinach plant, and that's it lol), turnip greens, bok choy, arugula (which I quick wilt). My absolute favorite in spring is pea greens, so I now grow 1 row of peas just for greens, with another for actual peas. I also eat beet greens and mizuna, but they're not my favorites - I grow mizuna just because it comes up very easy in spring so it helps bridge the gap between last season's kale and everything else.
@Blooie was last seen March 18, 2020 on the forum. As I recall, though, she does wander off from time to time.Yes. I have noticed that Blooie (The Diet Doth Confuseth Me thread) has not been seen (by me, at least) since Mar. 6, the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak. I'm scared for her. At least that's the day everything pretty much shut down, as I recall. My kids are too young to alert you guys and my DH wouldn't have a clue.
