Hey guys, change of subject but was wondering when you float test eggs, can you cook up the ones that float and feed them back to your chickens?
I don't float test, but when I set and egg on the counter (or the flat of my hand) and it rolls it self I know the air pocket is pretty big and time to go back to the birds. I've hard boiled them, mashed them with other left overs, and when all this covid hit I was breaking 6 eggs daily into about 1/3 of the hens daily feed to help stretch the feed. I continued this for about 2 months and never saw a decline in egg production or the birds,
Been feeding old eggs back to the birds in some form or another for years and ..knock on wood...never have had an issue. (In moderation of course)

In my experience, some of the very popular breeds from hatcheries do tend to be smaller than standard. However, some others will at least have a range of sizes, including some that are as large as they are supposed to be.
For example, years ago we got some barred Plymouth Rocks, and they weren't big. Then another year, some buff Plymouth Rocks from the same hatchery, and they were nice birds!

My fingers are crossed that the incoming Partridge Rocks are going to mature on the larger size.

Could be you have sleep apnea. Get a sleep study done
Would sleep apnea cause headaches!?

I seriously think a lot of it is cause of my jaw and/or neck. I need to get those checked.

And get the mold and fish tanks out of my room.

Yes because of lack of oxygen
Huh, interesting. I think in my case it’s because my pillows and/or mattress are so shitty because it doesn’t happen with good ones when I’ve had them or hotels but I’ll still get checked just in case.

Thank you, I only have 5 eggs but would rather use them vs throw them away.
