Hey @featherhead007 , did you sneak on to my farm when I was looking and do your rooster whisperer thing to my roo? He is still as nicely behaved as all the hens.
When I go out there, he will call excitedly and lead the hens over near the gate. Then he waits patiently while I get food, scratch grains, or hand fulls of clover than watch over the hens for a second while they do the mad dash to get whatever I've tossed. Once he sees them all picking at whatever, only then will he also enjoy.

After I enter the pen he will follow my travels....but not too close...waiting for more handfuls of goodies. Picking at them as I go along.
If I'm out of goodies he will not invade my space, but he will look up at me and watch me. Once he sees me walking towards the coop he goes back to picking at whatever. After I come out of the coop he watches me, sometimes follows...again, not too close...and generally acts like a "hands off me" hen. Rarely does he crow either. I hear him in the morning for about an hour, then he's quiet all day unless I'm out working on the chicken yard. Then it's one, maybe two crows at the unusualness of it all, then he's quiet again.

I have started carrying a small fence post with me, like a walking stick, but I haven't needed it. Though once when he got too close I put the post down between him and me and he immediately gave me my space.

Can you translate what he told you when you snuck onto the place? I've only ever had one roo behave this well before and I don't speak roo very well, as you already know.

They don't call me "The Chickeneer" for nothing! I'm glad your roo, is behaving himself!

You know... I have heard that the black tongue pepto reaction is the one tried and true method for detecting anyone who may have had little green visitors...

I got 4 brown eggs today.
I only have 3 BO and I'm pretty sure not all of them are laying (they like to go broody). Four brown eggs confirms what I've been suspecting for several days - that one, or some, of my 18-week old BA are laying! All my other layers are EE or BL. Happy mommy!

I got some weird white egg with brown speckles on it. I’ve never seen an egg like that in my coop before.

Many people in Walmart were wearing masks today but none can read the floor directions that say wrong way... I had to get out of there before I blew a gasket We had to get cat litter, paper towels, American clear waters, and a new puppy collar. We were in and out.

We worked on the fort and now it’s officially a coop. We got roofing that you roll out 2 rolls that should’ve been $300 for nothing from a friend! It’s the best stuff ever. Made things easy for us. We put the escapee chicks in there until they’re bigger. They were hogging the food from the younger chicks so we had to separate them.

On a Corona note, today was the 1st time in quite some time that I was able to see a majority of folks not wearing masks or even trying to social distance. Here in Denton, Tx -- At TSC, Lowe's, Sam's Club & CVS the unmasked ones were over 60% of the customers. Of that ~60% w/out masks a majority of them actively showed no effort to the 6' minimum toward anyone in the stores, entering or exiting the stores or at check out. The parking lot was also filled with much more aggressive drivers.

Any time I was turning a isle-corner and got surprised by another cart or family that I couldn't see until "right there" - I'll apologise and those that were masked; they were all very pateint/compassionate and even would have a thank you reply. The folks w/out make in those events looked at my bandana/masked face like I was some wierdo. One fellow older white guy (like me only older) was oddly gruff as if he couldn't be bothered/or maybe wasted a few of his precious seconds by my courteousness.
