They say you can’t catch it from touching things like they previously thought. It’s contact to other people that spreads it... I’ve been opening all my packages outside and the boxes go into the burn pile. I bring everything in from the boxes and wash my hands. I’ve been doing it that way since way before this virus even started.

I did hear that. But that's the way we started doing things from the beginning, and I just got in the habit. And that's kind of the way we always do our groceries, we always have about a two-week stockpile of everything anyway. I've got the family trained so we almost never run out of anything, lol.

People who get too close to me I stare at them with my masked face and walk backwards until I have 6 feet of distance. I think it’s so rude people who don’t care. I don’t care who they think they are, they need to back up 6 feet. I truly never liked people being close to me. I don’t like friends hugging me, I guess I just like my space.

I had a guy touch me 3 times a few years ago and each time I told him I was not okay with it and to stop. After the 3rd time I wasn’t so nice... my now husband was quite impressed with my self defense skills 😁 I think that’s why he likes me too. I may look like some poor defenseless girl, but my dad didn’t raise a little prissy girl. I know how to protect myself even with my nails done and heels.

Ugh! I've had shoulder surgery in both shoulders and it is amazing to me how many people cannot talk to you, greet you, or tell a story without slapping you or slugging you in the arm! OW! This was excruciatingly painful for over a year! I just want people to keep their hands to themselves! 😱

Uh I know that look. I hate that look and the attitude. Makes me want to do a boogeyman howl to scare them when they do that. First time I got a look was at the gas station pumping gas. Female human was sitting in the passenger seat glaring daggers at me. I guess she was mad because wearing a mask had political meanings to her or whatever.

Something happened like a month ago. I was in a store.. wearing a mask social distancing etc. When I was about 10ft from the exit a lady wearing a mask opened the door to enter, but held the door open and waved me to come on through. Because of how she was holding the door I would've had to walk within 2 feet of her. Dang standoff at the door she kept waving me through, I kept waving her to come on. Several seconds of that later I just picked a different exit. I doubt she ever understood...

On another note someone on one of my FB groups said they tested positive beginning of May. They haven't retested themselves but they still have bouts of extreme exhaustion and nausea. This virus is so strange :( they're also no longer quarantining and that kind of stuff worries me too...
I wanna "like" some, "wow" one ,& "sad" other parts of this which I totally understand!

Hey, nails and heels make pretty good weapons. You don't want to get nailed with a stiletto.
I have a "thing" for the "WWII/50's pin up girl look".... Fishnets, heels, nails, the whole ensemble if you will is so visually stimulating.

And yet, I also know how hard the high heeled shoes are on y'all's feet, ankles, calves, posture.....etal.

I had to pick up chicks on Friday morning. I was a good citizen and donned my mask and gloves, especially since I knew other customers would not have them on.
When I got onto the services area there were some not very bright yellow taped lines on the floor, which I went to the front of because no one else was in line.

Two of the four check out spots were open at opposite ends of the counter and there were curtains of plastic hung down from the ceiling in front of where the clerks were standing.
One space had one clerk helping a dad with 2 kids, and the other had two clerks crammed into the little space doing something on the computer.
None were wearing masks.

When called I gingerly stepped up near (but not close) to the counter and asked for my chicks.
Of course she says I need your ID. Um, yeah, ain't letting you touch that! So I showed her the USPS texts on my phone, which I also would not let her touch. She was obviously annoyed and asked the other clerk if that was ok, and the other said, yes, it's ok. All you need is the name. The other clerk also said be sure you get the box with the chicks and not the ducklings.

The clerk walked to the back and moments later shoved the curtain aside to hand me the box. I did take a tiny peek inside to make sure everyone was alive, then left as fast as I could.
I didn't exactly get a dirty look for my mask, but it was obvious my cation annoyed her as did the plastic curtain.

Selling a ton of quail and watching my broodies hatch out their chicks. BCM should be hatching today. Not feeling well my stomach is very upset so unsure what my deal is. Heading do the dollar tree so I can get some more fake plants for my quail and maybe pick up some goods for myself.
Feel Better Quickly! That's an order, not a request!!!! :)

My stomach is feeling a bit better I’m not sure if it’s my IV meds or a bug... usually it’s my IV meds that do it randomly. I had soup and a sandwich for dinner and it helped a ton. Also went to bed around 8 pm

Have you seen, "Welcome to Marwen?" It's steeped in the 40's look/style/culture. It can be a tad dark at times, but not overly so and it fits the story line. In the very beginning, you find yourself smiling at and indulging the crazy man with his dolls - much like the townsfolk do. It can get pretty dark for short stretches, as the story progresses and you find out the depth and cause of his delusions, It all comes together in the end as a story of hope - just like its' real-life counterpart. Yup, "Marwen" is a real place and the characters are real people.
It's VERY cool ... and amazingly appropriate in the current social climate. I think that part is disturbing ,,, but in a positive way. Marwen wraps up the current social and political unrest wracking our nation, wraps it up in a tight, messy little ball, and drops it right on our doorstep.
Makes you think!

I am very aware of it, have yet to see it. It's on my "to see list" along with endgame and a few others. Just finished watching the Matrix trilogy and over the next week or so we will be watching and discussing the other cool DVDs associated with that big box set. The girls are on the "front porch" of teen-dom. It's also relivant for the covid and other cultural issues front and center.

Thanks for the reminder of Marwen. I thought I recalled a reference to a real life person/sad situation but, didn't know it was also a "real place" too. Does the end of the movie give any history lesson-per-say?

Bullies want their beliefs validated and fear difference.

I wear scarves, The number of people who react poorly to any scarves for all sorts of ignorant busy body reasons is a problem sometimes... it never occurs to them why I might have a hundred reasons to dress different to them or that I can dress as I see fit same as them. Wear a hat and they are all okay with it put a scarf on your a gang member, uneducated, a physical threat, a foreigner... scarves work for me. I also dress for my job, not their job, but my job something lost on control freaks. Nor do I understand the go back to your country manure they sometimes say to me... my ancestry goes back to precolonial on one side and back to the British Colonies period pre revolution. I also don’t understand the PC ignorance over skin color and scarves... yep that has come up too... There are some truly ignorant people in white collar middle class America both sides of the divide.

But at the end of the day it is not about scarves as much as my choices seem odd to them so they feel threatened for no good reason... as if my presence and fashion choice has to be their choice too. No America is about freedom, a class they must have missed in civics...

I wear a mask now too, oh boy that must be beyond offensive when combined with a pretty long scarf or my Smokey The Bear bandanna from the Forest Service with USA flags on it. I love it when they threaten me at work... this is when I get to talk to them about Federal Law or just direct them to my bosses... I am recorded all the time. Still gainfully employed despite threats from people who believed they had “power” which they did not.

Some people are just rude, control freak, fearful bullies and are jerks.

I will wear masks, gloves, scarves, hats, and anything I need or want to. No one is asking them to do the same here. But so far I have been right about outbreaks here not going away be of summer heat, nor do I want to participate in medieval thinking on disease control, or be part of a herd immunity experiment... nope, nope, nope... if biosecurity is good for my chickens then I have no problem applying it as best I can to prevent disease in my family... COVID-19 could easily kill me or my husband. My niece and nephew living at my house have already been orphaned when one whole side of the family died.

Be happy people, do what is right for you.
