Where's Shadrack?

My husband just told me that in Spain at 8PM every night everyone who's isolated at home and everyone who's driving starts applauding or honking their horns simultaneously to thank the medical and emergency workers who are on the front line in this crisis.

We should find a way to show them appreciation too.
I'm going to bring eggs to my Drs office once it calms down. Might not be for a few months, but they love eggs. I'll get them so treats too.

Whenever I'm hospitalized, we usually give the nurses something like cookies, cake, eggs... They love it

Indeed they do. I have a friend who lives in Spain and she's been telling me about what is going on there. In Italy people were (maybe still are?) singing from their balconies in appreciation and support.

Same here! We have neighbors but the woods separate us. I don't have anyone coming here but ups when I order stuff.

We will be moving where we don't have neighbors as close hopefully next year. I'm a woods girl, I don't like cities.
You can't see any houses from where we live. Perfect.

Careful inspection of these graphs can help put it into perspective on what we have ahead of us. Social isolation should be #1 on everybody's "to-do" list!

Today I decided to plant more items because it looks like we won't get the incoming cold snap as originally forecast. I'd already put in my lettuce and spinach seedlings, and some lettuce and broccoli starts, plus the kale survived the winter and the garlic is coming up nicely.
I got some peony planted, lots of weeding done, my red potato starts put in and am wearing shorts for the first time this year. :wee

Pssst....Molpet...I checked last year's leftover Kennebecks in the potato bed as I was planting the new reds today and they are pushing out shoots and roots just fine. I'm in 6b now but I found Kennebecks were good overwinter potatoes in zone 5a as well.
Some of My kale survived, garlic not coming up in the garden, but some by the house is up... The potato bed doesn't have any, yet anyway
