Oh! Which one did you get??

It's sad that some people never learned how to mind their own business.

Glad to hear your power is back on. I saw on the weather channel this morning how many people lost their power and how many trees are down.

Sorry for the loss of the trees. It;s always sad when a big stately tree needs to be taken down or comes down in a storm. Those trees are living history.
It was on sale. I’ll be getting an Excalibur fir Christmas then donating this one at the food pantry.

Speaking of dehydrators....when I was at the store the other day large papayas were on sale for 79 cents. I bought a few with the idea of dicing and freezing, which I've done before and like to toss some into stir fries...but I decided I'm going to dry these.
The candied papaya recipes look yummy, but I think just plain will work for us better so I can use them in a larger variety of dishes in the future.

I use my dehydrator mostly for jerky--the guys love it. DD uses it for dandelion root and her herbs
I want to use it for my herbs too.

I’m doing so much stuff for vacation. I won’t eat otherwise 😂 I am trying to eat super clean plant based, it’s hard to find anything acceptable at takeout restaurants or delivery.

The only non clean thing I’ll be eating is pizza. I do no cheese and all veggies on top.

I’ve been drinking Bubly and La Croix waters when I feel like diet soda or crystal light. I’ve lost 10 lbs the past month eating this way.

That looks like a much better deal then the Presto and easier to clean too.
I love my Excalibur but will admit it's not the easiest thing to clean. Thankfully everything is dried so you can just dump out any crumbs, then wipe as needed. If I remember correctly the large trays are dishwasher safe so that helps.

Mmmm you can even use them in dishes after you dehydrate them

And... I don’t get why people like to push buttons in here... Can’t we all just get along? Bad enough this virus sucks, we don’t need the threads to suck and turn negative.

Sadly there are some who delight in messing with the sensibilities of others. For me it has become important to avoid interaction with abrasive/negative/trolls.

Lost power yesterday morning, and lost cable last night. Okay on the power because of our generator, but no cable - Don't understand the lag time after storm end, but both are back now. Much of NJ is shutdown and will remain so for days if not longer. Year before Sandy we lost power for close to 8 days and then lost power for 10 days with Sandy. I worry about those in urban areas without power or a place to which they can go. I think NJ will be facing another Covid spike.
