I mean, he's smart. But they aren't giving people the resources to prep for online. Mind you he's only teaching really young kids. But he doesn't really have the resources to convert it to online. And since he's a newer teacher he's basically not allowed to make his own plans right now that would be easy TO convert. He's in the Resident Educator Program, which is like this post-graduate mentorship thing where you have to teach basically someone elses stuff for four years before you can apply for a license to teach. Derp.

And a little Local fact based update on the behaviour of those around our home. Initially our kiddos saw and told me about 2 of our neighbors over the last few days. The 3rd is one I saw first then we all "heard" it.... just to share some local reality.
Over the last 2 days there have been two neighbor events here. First, our next door neighbor that just put in a pool had a gathering of 8-10 vehicles and they didn't appear to be wearing masks or social distancing. The folks that just bought this house and moved in are retired and in their 60's. Second, Down the hill on the south side of our road was a party with bounce houses, over 20 vehicles parked alond the cul-de-sac; lots of kids, zero social distancing or masking. Third is our local Rodeo type complex, AKA "The Hacienda" had an event friday night in the 3/4 enclosed big building with disco lights and the usual party/dance music until the usual 11PM shutdown time.

it's a good time to not be 100% responsible for planning AND implementing. hope he loves it! Male teachers for younger kids are so important. It was always a female workplace, but boys need role models

Oh and to add some raw facts to that fun stuff. There was a couple articles a while back that was quantifying the potential "hotspots" that would become massive spike zones like the Tulsa rally was. Well, the local town (Denton, Tx) hit that national paper list in its top ten no less! So yeah. Even though its a 2 university town (UNT & TWU) we still have our fair share of "red hats" and other loony toons. The local evangelical Flat Earther was recently caught being really bad and I think I already posted (in the last month, i think) about that dingbat here in BYC (looks around) on some thread.

its Texas, most of our stores staff are requiring masks and the 6' rule but, we have a population that aggressively act and are in the covid-hoax camp.

we have summer people from NY city who totally disregard our NY 50 person max for gatherings! so frustrating!

In most places, they're not "rules" anymore.They're "guidelines." And even when they were rules, most law enforcement wouldn't do much more than remind people ... too much gray area.
