That pretty much sums it up.

Ditto that!In-person ballots, I think. Don't trust the mail to be impartial, and definitely don't trust these online things to be honest and fair.
Our friend, Ed, was on a ventilator for a long time. He's been home and steadily recovering for a month now. Keep the prayers and positive vibes going! Thanks but, that's why he went to ICU.

On a different topic.... FIL was just transfered to the ICU. Oxygen level dropped to low....![]()
Thank you for those good wishes for our country, BDutch. We hope so too. Normally we do pretty much only vote on Election Day. Covid is changing everything .... I went to the County Clerk's office last week and picked up an Absentee Ballot. Because I am at-risk, I qualified to do so, and could have mailed it in. However, just to be sure, I hand-carried it back to the County Clerk's Office (30 miles away, in an adjacent town) and turned it in. I've voted!Best of luck and care for everyone in hospital. Here in NL some of the planned care is cancelled bc of the second wave now. And some people with Covid are transferred to the other side of the country bc some hospitals have too many patients.
I’m very much surprised how you have to vote in the US. We all vote on the same day here and never have to stand in a huge line to cast our vote. Most of the time there is no line at all. Only people abroad sent their vote by mail. People can ask someone else to vote for them if its difficult to vote themselves. And there are lots of voting offices in every town, a few in villages and suburbs and at least one in very small villages.
Next spring we have to vote for a new government over here and bc of corona they are discussing now to make it possible to bring you're own pencil and vote two days so their will be no problem with keeping distances. But I do wonder how they plan to do the counting. I helped a few years ago and we were al crisscrossing in the gym (school was a voting office) to gather and pile the votes before counting.
I do hope you hear the results quickly and you get a president with a heart for the people in you’re country.
