I stand corrected. I went to the feed store and there were at least 10 people without masks. The cashier said all they can do is strongly suggest wearing one which they provide for free.
On the way back to MO, I needed gas. I was one of 8 people in there and I was the only one with a mask.
Maybe this is the best way to thin the herd by removing the unenlightened.

They are starting set up of triages. Get this..not sure other college students did this, but right here in Utah..they had .. covid-19 parties! To get it. What?

COVID parties.... It's a coronavirus, not chicken pox! Yeesh! Your immunity isn't like 90% permanent like it is for diseases like that. That's like... Going to a Very Deadly Flu(tm) party. It's dumb. No matter how many times you get it you could get it again. Gosh. >(

Canoe, I would think the same thing - it's everyones right to do things that are bad for themselves if they insist on it - if it weren't for the fact that most of these people won't kill themselves, they'll kill other people. :T

Zen based, focused meditation can also act as a external stimulus reducer to help get closer & eventually into deep REM sleep.
Zen is actually not focused meditation. It’s thinking about nothing. No music, no activity, just sit. Things come into your mind but you let them go.

My phrase is just as applicable here as in the beginning.

"Darwin Award Contenders"

Thanks for giving the definition of "Zen" meditation but, as I added the word "based" in that I was using the method but, adapting it using classical or jazz music due entirely to the tinnitus I deal with from my Navy fun.... This allows me to use a low musical background as a blanket over the "ringing" and allowing me a much more relaxed effort at being 'in the moment'.....

So there you can now *see* my vocab is quite intentionally used.

Cheers.

Do you find your tinnitus gets better/worse with how hydrated you are? Mine is from ear damage as a toddler, but wasn't too bad until about 5 years ago. And I've noticed the more well hydrated I stay the less it is. Less, in that it's more easily covered with soft music, quiet fan, air purifier, etc..more of every day noise stuff instead of having to intention drown it out for regular function.
For "quiet times" I still need soft music or the air purifier going...

Very insightful question.
1) knee-jerk reaction = I don't know for sure
2) Scientist side of brain = (goes for a notebook to start tracking and make a note on most recent past)
3) Mcgyver side of brain = antiseptic silence is the most painful experience, Just under the migraines I get from sunlight etal. That's why I have classical most nights at the volume level.just above my breathing sound. Florescent lights ballasts are so annoying. Those mercury vapor lights in the hangers were so much worse!

Last week, I was out for the first time since June. Several employees at the feed store were without masks. At Walmart there were employees without, and even one with two masks all the way down on her chin. The next grocery store, an employee had her mask only on her bottom lip. I was called the B word for thanking the properly masked cashier, that took me at the last second, for wearing her mask properly.
