Really, it's pathetic what's believed. And like the lunch meat cartoon above, logic is just gone.
BTW, long ago I spent some time inspecting small sausage makers in the Milwaukee area, and their products were beautiful, and the ingredients all top of the line cuts of meat.

Talked to a friend on the phone last night who tested positive for Covid about a week ago. Her cough is so ... Jeez, idk. It just sounds so painful. She also can't taste or smell anything.

She contracted it from a "friend" who swore up and down they tested negative before and after seeing her in person, turns out the so-called friend lied. Didn't get tested at all, had been engaging in risky behavior, and now Midge is paying the price.

The person she got it from eventually did get tested and it was positive, but never had any symptoms.

Yeah, I think Midge and that person are done. Good. How dare they, honestly, like not only just not getting tested but LYING about it???? Unforgivable, in my opinion.

Also spoke with a coworker this past week who was out for 3 weeks with Covid. She never got a cough, but she had the highest fever in her life, no smell/taste, and she said it was like pins and needles all over her body to the point she couldn't stand anyone or anything touching her.
Another weird thing: she tested negative once when she started feeling weird, but it got worse and worse and then had a video call doctor appointment and he ordered another test and yep- positive. Which makes me trust those rapid tests a good bit less.

So sorry to hear what everyone is going through.

I doubt it ever could have been stopped but, surely, it would be a totally different experience for the country if we hadn't gotten bad advice to ignore it from the beginning.

Lets, hope you're not channeling me, @MROO! Next thing you know you'll be keeping bug colonies, collecting bricks for various reasons, and driving 5 hours to buy specialty rabbits!

G exits quarantine soon! Monday! His sense of taste being gone is still distressing but we've pivoted to giving him different textures instead of flavors. Crunchy carrots and bell peppers, soft eggs, squeaky fresh mushrooms, toast, chewy granola bars, things of that nature and that helps. Today I will be eating one of my Very Hot Famously Spicy Korean Ramens That Nobody Else Eats(tm) and I'll put some on a plate for him so we can see if he can taste it. It's a real powerful punch of not just spice but also umami so he may get pick up on some of it.
