From covid or co morbidities? I didn’t know leg amputations were a covid problem.
Lack of oxygen could lead to amputations, couldn't it? Even in an otherwise healthy person? Patient on the news tonight is having to learn how to walk and feed himself again, 50-yo man, nothing said about comorbidities. He couldn't breathe, extremities went numb, couldn't feel anything.

Well, today when I got to work, our "Covid Unit" had been shutdown. It will get a deep cleaning and hopefully (for us) it will be used as a non-isolation Progressive Care Unit.
If they don't cut the pay too much I'll probably hang on until the next surge.

I do notice that when there's a surge it is accompanied by a lot of fanfare. When it subsides, not so much.

Your city needed some good news, Hayden. It's been a year of challenges for you guys! ❤️

I work in a school. We have had numerous cases since we started this fall. Yet have not shut down, and only report cases that are told to us by health department. (Doctors and medical lab reports do not count as cases according to our administration.) I am angry about the lack of transparency, and the urging for staff to get vaccinated yet I can pick it up and infect my kids who are too young to get vaccinated! We were in such a hurry to shut down when adults were affected, but now that it’s kids no one cares about the infection rate anymore. I’m very disappointed in our current federal and state administration for not mandating shut downs in high-caseload areas. It’s worse in my area now than it was last fall...
Where do you live?

Why was t shut down?

my problem with the mandates is: why aren't the UNEMPLOYED mandated in any way? I need a vaccine to go to work to pay taxes to support people who don't /can't/won't work?????
I agree with you. I do think they will mak it mandatory to get any welfare or SS money. THey are slowly doing it.
