It is a variant. So it isn't the "same thing" as Covid. It's sort of like the knockoff brand.

Just checking to make sure that you understand omicron IS a strain of covid? I think maybe you just used the not the same thing by accident.

It's like the flu. Different strain every year but still influenza. Like ... Ice cream. 31 flavors, but still ice cream! Only bad ice cream. That can kill you.

How could you possibly use that comparison I will never eat ice cream again

Ugh just now leaving the dentist. They were running 20 minutes behind. Then they made me wait an additional 20 minutes for my paperwork while they clucked like hens in the other room. Now I'm waiting to pay while some woman argues over her appointment getting cancelled. I just want to go home at this point.

Yeah it would be nice if a dentist would take peoples time into consideration and keep a timely schedule. Just sayin

I took their time into consideration and choose not to be numbed. I expect the same couteousy. Especially when all I was waiting on last was the paperwork. When I was able to flag down a dental assistant she gave mine a tongue lashing.

To me the same thing is exactly the same. It being a variant it really isn't the same thing.It is part of the family. Most of it seems to be identical but not exactly the same thing. Just like a knockoff purse. It looks the same it has close to the same shape and size. It may have the same parts but it really isn't the same. It is however very close to it. The reason it has a different name is because somthing about it is slightly different therefore not the same.

Two to four tablespoons for most women if I did the math right. A bit much if it is taken at once, maybe, but I easily use that much sipping mugs of lemon tea when I have a cold. Besides the occasional spoons of it to sooth a sore throat or cough.

DW once got thrush from drinking too much tea with honey when she had a sore throat.

The difference is you can see (and smell) that the building is burning. There is no indication someone is breathing Covid on you.

When I had Covid last year, everything smelled like sewage. Even water.

Good way to kill a person if they can't even drink water without gagging!

Tried to order free tests from government. Timed out. Don't know if bogged by orders or just poor site.

Worked great Tuesday afternoon even though it was not supposed to open until Wednesday.

Lady of the phone said "oh well we had reached out to you regarding if we were your only insurance and didnt hear back so we denied everything."

Similar to my "conversion" to Medicare. Previously on DW's BCBS Federal insurance. Dropped that but somehow the Medicare system kept thinking I had other insurance and denying everything since they weren't primary. I THINK I've finally got that cleared up.

Apparently the apartment number has to be put in "the right place" wherever that is. Hopefully the programmers have made that more obvious after those failures showed up during "beta testing" on Tuesday.

I don't know how anyone can say somthing is the same thing and in the same breathe say it is a strain of something. Last time talking about it. You say SAME meaning equal and not different. I say no not equal not the same. It is of the family like parent/child or siblings. They aren't twins. It is like saying chocolate ice cream and Garlic ice cream are the same thing. No slightly different but the base is the same. I see it my way and know what I mean. You see it your way. It is okay and we can let it go now.
