It's a long shot and it won't be pretty but if they can turn the tide, it could be the start of battle to rid the world of the Red Evil that killed over 100,000,000 people last century.
It won't be the first time a rag tag army and volunteers turned back the greatest fighting forces in the world. We did it here in 1815. (The US has had our butts handed to several times also.)

A radio commentator (probably NPR) was explaining why terrorist are able to do the things they do. (and possibly everyone to some extent.) He said "they are the star character in the movie playing inside their head." Not acting for the approval of others as much as to be the Hero to themselves. I thought it was an interesting way to look at motivations.

Motivation IS key. I don't feel close to knowing a situation until I know the motives. And I'll accept greed, love, stupidity, aulturism, religion, idealism...
I just want to know why they're doing it.

You are happy to have the Ukraine-Russia situation in place of the Covid situation on the news, rather than having NO war to talk about whatsoever.

I’d so much rather hear more about covid than here anything about the spark of a possible World War.

If you are so sick of hearing covid on the news, turn off the TV. Simple. Do not ever say you are happy to hear about a war. That is heartless and very rude of you.

If I remember correctly, All4Eggs has family/friends in Ukraine so I can understand that Ninja's post seemed rude. Having someone you love directly involved definitely makes the situation more personal. I don't believe it was Ninjasquirrel's intention to come off as rude. War is very tragic and all those involved need to remain in our thoughts and prayers.

Even so, I am very sad about what is happening. But I still dont need to attack others on this forum.
