I've always wanted to ask one about it but I've always been worried that that would be rude. Is it? I mean technically I'm asking about their religion which isn't really rude...I just think they'd be thinking I'm treating them like a alien or a weirdo. I find their tradition of doing things the old way is fascinating

No different than any other group of people, some would be more open (or tolerant, maybe) to that sort of thing than others. I lean heavily toward not asking without a relationship for reasons other than learning about such things. A longer (or more personal, maybe?) relationship than buying something at a shop, for example. And then, not too many questions without a lot of welcoming responses from the person. I know I don't much like questions about things about me that are different than the norm without the relationship.
I agree. While some will not welcome questions at all, others would be happy to answer your questions. I know before meeting some Amish I had always wondered about this too.

Most of the Amish live very far from where I do so it's difficult to form much of a relationship with them. I'd like to though. I feel like I could learn a lot. I try to do things the old fashioned way as much as possible. Although I must admit sometimes I just don't have the patience.

At the doctor today hoping to get switched to a different medicine. I feel nauseated after taking it. Had to leave early due to the snow so I'm gonna be waiting a while. Luckily to roads weren't too bad. Everyone here is wearing masks and they're wiping everything down. But it appears like morale is high. I really didn't want to go anywhere today but I didn't want to have to reschedule. It's still tough to get appointments here

It all depends upon the question/questions to be asked and your relationship with the person. There are two men at the local Amish market with whom I can talk about nearly anything.

Safest way is to have a relationship to some degree. I was Amish until I was 25 years old, I left for religious reasons.

Man people love to talk about their ethnicity or whatever. The problem is media if they would just shut up everything would be great. They got it to where people are scared to say hi. Pretty disgusting what TV can do to the citizens.
Like myself for instance I love to talk about myself
It's to the point people are paranoid just to meet people. I remember a time when you could go ring someone's doorbell and not have them be terrified. I've seen people be like "why didn't you text me and let me know you were here?" I miss the way things used to be.

If I said and did now what I said and did back then I'd be a multiple offender. Of course the same age I was back then

Wonder if we could use something like this on chickens.

No need to, you can use:
  • 1% injectable
  • 0.5% pour-on
  • 0.08% sheep drench
  • 1.87% paste horse paste
The Sklice is very expensive:
