I would say yes she got it there because it's antibiotic resistant. Maybe try the one they use for Mersa?
If there any good at all, they took cultures first, then began with a 'broad spectrum' antibiotic. They still have to 'grow' the bacteria and try different Abx. to see which one works best.
It has become so common they're just called MDROs. (Multi Drug Resistant Organisms)

Appropriate to the title of this thread.

Last Saturday DD2 told us just before dinner she was going to a friend's house after diner for a "few days". Sunday DW and I went to visit her parents as usual. When we got home DD's car was here, she was up in her room.

I asked if we had pulled a Rip Van Winkle or something and miss a few days. Turns out this friend just got back from CO and was notified Sunday that someone they were with tested positive for Covid. So DD was hiding in her room. Her friend tested and DD found out Monday that it was positive.

She is now confined to the upstairs, her bedroom and the bathroom only. Fortunately our bedroom is downstairs and the "preferred shower" bathroom is as well. DW won't go upstairs at all which is a bit of a problem because her computer is in a room between DD's bedroom and the bathroom.

I put a mini fridge in the upstairs bathroom along with some of DD's cereals. She has ice, juice, milk and whatever else I put in the mini. I deliver dinner outside her room.

She will do a home test tomorrow. Given I'm very sure she and her friend were not social distancing and masking Sat night and however long she was there Sunday and he tested positive Monday, I'll be very surprised if she isn't also positive even though she is boosted. I have no idea of his vaccination status.

She was planning to head up to Canada in a week to hang with DD1 after her classes end. But Canada requires that you have at least 10 days since you had a positive test. DW was planning to head up the following Tue or Wed and the 3 of them along with all of DD1's stuff packed in 3 cars would bring everything back here.

All that is now up in the air and dependant not only on DD's test but also on DW not getting Covid from her. I'm pretty sure 2 cars won't be enough space to move DD1's stuff. DD1 has a backup plan as she has some friends that can store the rest of her things until we head back up for graduation May 16th. We don't understand a 3 week separation between finals and graduation either.
Awee what a mess that turned out to be, with the whole school ending and graduation so far apart. Sorry Bruce! I hope your dear daughter gets well and over it quickly and you and DW hopefully don't catch it.

Good luck/ wait and see what the test says . Lots of people don’t get infected by his omicron Corona virus after close contact.
She tested negative yesterday and today so theoretically clear. Who knows, maybe she is one of those whose system kills the virus off before it can replicate.

Thus, back to normal. She was down to show me the test and have lunch. Didn't see her again until just now when she came down to feed the cats. Stuck in her room for almost a week and where does she go when she isn't quarantined? In her room.

My dads wife is still in the hospital. Bacterial pneumonia. They think she got it during the short stay surgery she had last week. Very resistant bacteria. They can’t find the right antibiotic.
Sadly they say the best place to get sick is in the hospital. I really hope they can clear it up soon.

Glad your DD tested negative. I think some people just don’t get it. Wish they would do a study on why. Might give some good info.

My dads wife is finally home. The finally found an antibiotic to help. Thank you

Went to the BMV the other day to renew my license. No sign on the door about masks. When they called my number before I sat down I said "I'm not vaccinated do you need me to wear this?". She just gave me a wave like "you don't need that" and I handled my business. Idk if it's cause I'm in a republican state or if it's just the general consensus is "covid is over". Masks are still required at the doctor but only in the waiting room. At the ER I was not required to wear one but my husband was. He said "the lady had a fit" but not that he was absolutely told to wear it.

Sounds like down here in Louisiana. Restrictions lifted. Some wear mask, most don't. (Some wear mask in the car with the windows rolled up.) Hospitals and probably doctor's offices, public transportation, etc. require mask by Federal mandate.
I suspect that most people realize now that everone will eventually catch it and mask, vaccinations, lockdowns aren't going to stop it. Even the Chi-Coms have tried to lock down Shanghai, a modern city of 20 million and it's still spreading. (And when THEY lock you down, you better have your own food and water for the duration.)

Yup that's why communism is good on paper but not in practice. It sounds like utopian but instead leads to a complete reliance on a government that you assume to be not corrupted. Good on paper but the sins of people that are corrupted lead to mis-sue of power
