I saw one of the nurses at rehab today and she was wearing one of fishing tubes that keep you cool. It is worn around the neck, can be pulled up to cover the mouth and nose, and can be pulled on up to cover the head. This would work well in place of the mask.
A neck gaiter, and no it wouldn't.

On another note...I've been doing BYC searches to learn about first time incubation hatching and can't seem to find one good thread or article so far. I'm going cross eyed from searching.

Anyone have a suggestion for a good incubator/hatching 101 for dummies?

......asking for a friend.
Me too me too! My new bator is on the way and I know almost nothing

I'm rusty but look up the protein structures, specifically the beta-caseins. There are two types, along with a multitude of other structures in milk.
It's rare but some people are reacting more to the beta-casein type in regular milk but can drink goat milk or consume goat milk products just fine.
I had high hopes I could do this with kiddo eventually and actually had a small goat diary for a a while, to give kiddo's system time to grow and mature. But, alas, it was not to be.

I know I'm a little behind; this thread moves fast, lol. But I wanted to say, I had a friend who had twin boys, there were problems and she could not nurse them adequately. One turned out to be allergic to dairy, the other allergic to soy! They put them both on goat's, problem solved! They gained weight, got strong and healthy, did great.

Edit: they put the babies on goat's MILK. Not on the goats. Yikes. I need to remember to proofread better before hitting the Post button. 😆

We haven't really been out. I did go to the feed store and bought a truckload of feed. I would have done it anyway because the store down the road that used to carry my feed sold. The new owners are carrying a local brand which is fine, but I'm old and want to stay with my standard feed. It's a ways away, so I decided to stock up some so I don't have to make any trips for awhile. I do worry because I sell my eggs. I could shut down, but what would I do with all of the eggs? I am hatching some, but everyone is laying right now. Handling the money, I don't know where it came from. The last I knew 8 people tested positive in my county but I haven't checked today. I do keep disinfecting wipes next to the change jar. Every time I touch the money, the change jar or the handle on the cooler, I wipe them. I hope it's enough.

Put all the money in one of the lingerie bags and throw it in the washer. Won't hurt paper as it is made out of rag paper.
